Backlink Quality Alert
Know immediately if bad links are pointing to your site
Nora monitors new backlinks to your site via Ahrefs and alerts you if low-quality or spammy links appear. Helps you disavow bad links before they hurt your SEO.
Not all backlinks are good. A link from a spam site or private blog network (PBN) can actually hurt your rankings. Nora queries Ahrefs for all new backlinks to your domain daily and checks each one for quality signals: domain authority, spam score, referring page relevance, and anchor text. If a low-authority or high-spam link appears, you get an alert: domain name, spam score, referring anchor text, and recommendation to disavow if necessary. This is especially important if you've been targeted by negative SEO (competitors buying bad links to your site to hurt you). A high spam score on a new link is a red flag. Nora also flags 'exact-match anchor text' links (the anchor is your money keyword) — these can look unnatural to Google. For a competitive industry, this automation prevents bad links from accumulating and hurting your domain authority.
Runs daily at 7:00 am using Ahrefs, run by your Webmaster.
How it works
- Query Ahrefs for new backlinks to your domain in past 24 hours
- Check each link for quality: domain authority, spam score, referring page authority
- Flag links with spam score >30% or from unrelated niches (e.g., casino linking to B2B SaaS)
- Check for unnatural anchor text patterns (exact-match money keywords)
- Identify potential negative SEO attacks (sudden spike in low-quality links)
- Send alert with link quality assessment and disavow recommendations
